In honor of Mooey’s Cozy Corner debut, I’m spoiling you all with an extra post! Think of it as a Valentine’s Day gift from me to you! This is one of many series that I have planned for Mooey’s Cozy Corner. I cannot wait to share more of my series later this year! Happy Valentine’s Day! 💝💐
Conversations Over Coffee is an interactive post, I’ll be discussing 3 topics, and you can choose to engage in one (or all three) of the conversations. If you have nothing to add to any of these topics, feel free to start a random conversion in the comment section and I will reply. To make this post deliciously cozy grab yourself a beverage and/or snack and let’s chat!
Imagine, you walk into a café to meet up with a dear friend. It’s a dreary cloudy day but it’s not raining and there aren’t too many people in the café. You walk over to the counter, place your drink order, and scan around searching for your friend. You see the top of their head, they’re tucked away in a corner of the café, reading a book. The barista calls your name, you grab your coffee and your friend waves you over. You smile, you are so happy to see your friend and talk about all the random thoughts you’ve been wanting to get off your mind.
So, I’m starting a Substack! I know, I already have my blog and I’m super nervous but it’s something that I’ve been wanting to do for a while and I kept seeing all these signs to just do it so I decided to take the plunge, what’s the worst that can happen?
Lucy (my sweet pomeranian) is turning 10 years old next week! I can’t believe it! It feels like it was just yesterday that we drove to Tennessee to pick her up. I’m trying to think of something special to do for her, we bake her a dog-friendly cake every year made out of carrots and peanut butter but I want to do something extra, maybe take her to a park for an extra long walkies? I don’t know. Do you have any ideas?
This time last year, I wanted to improve my flexibility to do a split by my 30th birthday (I still can’t do a split comfortably but I’m getting close!) but now that it’s been around a year, I can say that my flexibility has indeed increased! I do these stretches Monday-Friday and rest my body over the weekend. Not only am I improving my flexibility but I’m also practicing deep breathing which I love as it helps calm my anxious self. Stretching before bed has elevated my nighttime routine. What do you do before bed to help you unwind?
👋 New substack user here! I literally came across your blog today when I was looking up basic info on Lenormand cards 😂 Your blog post about The Cute Lenormand from your Mooeyandfriends site popped up in the results so I clicked on it and instantly I had that "Aha" moment. I felt like I'd stumbled upon a kindred spirit because everything about your site, after browsing through it for a bit, resonated with me and I felt super excited and giddy! So with that being said:
1. I didn't know about substack until today LOL but I made an account so I could follow your blog on here! I think it's cool that you ultimately decided to follow those signs/signals to make a substack!! I believe that our intuition, even if we're confused by it, can lead us to the people, places, and things that are aligned with us at that time if we decide to trust it.
2. I'm not a doggo owner so I've no clue about bday ideas but maybe a play date with other doggos so she can celebrate it with new friends?
3. All the best on your flexibility journey! I'd love to eventually do a split too! 😂 I've been easing into flexibility through yoga and with my morning stretchies routine. The only routine that's nonexistent for me is a bedtime one 😅 but I need to work on it because I have bad insomnia. Like, I LOVE reading before bed or unwinding with a book in the evenings but because I stay up so late I don't consider it a bedtime routine 😆
I’m absolutely LOVING Substack at the moment, so I hope it’ll be the same journey for you.
Happy birthday to Lucy! We took Milo on his favourite walk, and baked him a sweet potato and carrot cake for his birthday last month. A few years ago, when I still freelanced, I also invited his doggy friends over for a garden party!
