April went by too fast! I barely remembered what happened! I started the month by going on a family trip to Orlando, Florida for a few days. I was also a victim of Mercury Retrograde as my new iPhone which I got only two months ago gave up on me and stopped working and I wasn’t able to use my phone for almost a week which wasn’t fun. Anyway, I hope May is kinder to us all and that we create some amazing memories and moments this month!
To stay updated on all my whereabouts make sure you’re following me on Instagram, TikTok, and Threads for updates on everything I am doing. Also, subscribe to my YouTube channel if you enjoy watching my videos.
Up above are some pictures from my trip to Universal Islands of Adventure which was the main reason for our visit to Orlando, Florida. Whenever we go to Orlando, we always go to Disney World because we’re Disney people but this time we decided to change things up and visit Universal because we haven’t been to that side of Orlando in a long long time. I vaguely remember going to Univeral Studios when I was like 10 so it’s been over ten years since the last time we visited this area. We decided to go to Universal Islands of Adventure over Universal Studios because UIOA has Seuss Landing and my 4-year-old nephew currently loves reading the Dr. Seuss books. I wrote a whole post about my trip on my main blog so go check it out if you want to know more of what I did during our stay.
I published a new ‘Journal with Me’ video on my YouTube channel. It’s been a minute since I posted a journaling video but it was fun to share my journaling process. I journal a lot but because I include personal things in my spreads I don’t like to share because I like to keep my life private. However, challenging myself to make more artsy fartsy pages with stickers could be a good way to express my artsy side and I can also film that experience like I did with my rainbow pages video. If you have any more journaling video ideas let me know.
One random Friday, my younger sister bought us coffee from Starbucks, and the cups were decorated like this. It was a small thing that made me smile.
“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”
- Princess Diana
Another highlight from the month of April was publishing my first book review! I was reached out to by the author of Kodomo Doki Doki Book One: Touch Reminiscence in March and read an ARC in April. You can read my review of this book here. Kodomo Doki Doki Book One: Touch Reminiscence will be released on May 31st so make sure to preorder a copy here to support the author.
I ended the month of April by posting my first crochet vlog on my YouTube channel. It was surprisingly a lot of fun to film! I recorded over an hour of footage but decided to cut out most of the parts where I just crocheted because I didn’t think it was interesting and this wasn’t meant to be a crochet tutorial! haha
I think I may film more crochet vlogs in the future for when I’m working on a project but don’t want to share too much of the making process. How does that sound? Would you like to see more crochet vlogs?
