It’s been a minute since I published a monthly Notes or Substack post. June and July seem to fly by! I can barely remember what I did in June but July was a pretty busy month for me, it was also my birthday month! So, I decided to combine both June and July’s monthly notes post in one.
To stay updated on all my whereabouts make sure you’re following me on Instagram, TikTok, and Threads for updates on everything I am doing. Also, subscribe to my YouTube channel if you enjoy watching my videos.
In June, I created my own motivational deck and documented it for you! If you’ve read my blog you know that I’m a huge fan of card decks so I am making a personalized motivational deck with illustrations, colors, and images. I created this deck using my old business cards which felt amazing as it was like closing an old chapter of my life and giving an old piece of mine a new purpose.

Working Kodak was not on my 2024 bingo card but that’s the strange thing about life, you never know what will happen or who’s watching!
This was my last craft vlog (posted in June). I’ve been taking a short break from YouTube but planning on coming back soon! I’m currently filming parts for my next craft vlog! I hope you enjoy watching my craft vlogs as I enjoy filming them! haha

At the beginning of July, I moved to my second bullet journal of the year. I had very little faith in myself that I would still be using my bullet journal this late into the year. I’ve started multiple journals in my lifetime but always manage to lose interest and rarely finish a journal that I start. However, this year I’ve been so good about using my bullet journal daily. I use my bujo as a weekly and monthly planner, tracker, art pages, mood journaling, evening pages, and as memory journal. I use my jounral for so many things it’s no wonder that I already finished it and starting my second!
In July, I participated in a 2-week mermaid-themed readathon. I wrote a whole blog post about it here. Along with the readathon, there was also a set of Instagram challenges that you could participate in. I did my best to do as many challenges as I could but my favorite was the mermaid food challenge as I got to bake and decorate these Hello Kitty mermaid vegan sugar cookies! I’m so proud of how they turned out!
On July 14th I celebrated my 31st birthday! I went out to K-town with my family and we had a nice dinner followed by a sweet treat for dessert. I also adopted my first Calico Critter! And yes, I bought this one because it looks like my Pomeranian!

On a rainy Sunday, we decided to go out to go to a local museum. They had a stunning rock and gemstone collection which was the highlight! There weren’t many people which made for a peaceful experience. I even left the museum with some goodies!
